Today we are making a tier list of Game of Thrones characters ranked by their charisma.
Keep in mind that we are not judging charisma in modern day times, like who you would sit down and get a beer with. It's Game of Thrones charisma, which means: Are you persuasive? Do your plans work out? This might make you a wrong person, but you can still be highly charismatic.

  • My personal opinion. First off, I don't buy what happened in season 7 and 8. Also, the season 6 finale, Cersei burned down the whole building, that is not an outlier of the show, not much in line with everything else. With that being said, I think your B and C tier, for me, belong to the same level. These are the people who shows mishaps at times, largely due to emotional vulnerability, but overall are good at getting what they want. I would put Jamie and Dany at B and the rest at C. Then for tier F, Catelyn is better than the rest. For D, Cersei is better than the rest. She might be in tier C. But I agree with your A and S picks.

    Jeremy BenderJeremy Bender2 mesi fa
  • I dont agree for Olenna tyrell. She provokes the doom of her house by killing Joffrey. Joffrey was a better deal than Tommen in the end. Under Joffrey there was order : Cersei was going to Highgarden to marry Loris, Tyrion would go to Winterfell with Sansa and Margaery would be queen. With Joffrey`s death , Cersei stays in Kings Landing and is more aggressive, the faith Militant, Tywin dies Tyrion leaves to meet Daenerys... chaos everywhere. Olenna made that mistake because she wanted Margaery to be happy. She wanted for Margaery power and happiness at the same time. A mistake Tywin would have never done.

Also she advised robb not to put love over duty bc he gave the freys his word. Also she figuered out that it was the lannisters who pushed bran before everyone else. she shouldnt be f tier

    Yafet GabrielYafet Gabriel2 mesi fa
    • she didn't figure it out little finger told her sister to tell her the lannisters did. secondly she caused half the problems by letting the Jamie go weakening most of robs position and forcing him to lock her down or look even weaker in front of her men. ned realistically could not refuse an order from the king who was also his friend. her behaviour was optimistic but unrealistic. where she does deserve credit is on the freys she was bang on... had she not shown such poor judgment with Jamie earlier Rob might of listened.

  • I agree with someone else below that this list has more to do with being cunning than charasmatic but it's still fun. However, anyone truly at the top of the cunning list should not get top spot if they were thwarted and killed, leaving out Littlefingers, Varys, and Mance Rayder. Tyrian should be in the top tier in that case, side by side with Bronn. Others who survived, such as Arya, her kid brother Bran, Sam, and Brienne survived in spite of themselves but primarily because other people were constantly saving them so they don't deserve top tier either. Margery and Lady Olena were by far the most cunning. The only one that hated both of them was Cersei and she hated practically everybody. And yet they were thwarted and killed by the one person who didn't like them so I guess survival doesn't quite work as the decider either. But real charisma? My votes go to Oberon, Robb Stark (why was such a major character left out-along with Arya), Tyrion, Bronn, Margery, and Danny before she went nuts, And if I were Queen, Jamie would have survived because he was my favorite :)

    Tony StarkTony Stark3 mesi fa
  • Speaking in book terms only because the show sadly didn’t do this character or his realm any justice, I would include Doran Martell, Prince of Dorne. Now, he would be slightly above Oberyn for the reason that actually caused the Red Viper’s demise in the first place, his emotional turmoil. Doran has secretly plotted against the Lannisters (and the Baratheons of King’s Landing) ever since Gregor Clegane killed his sister and Queen Elia Martell and her children. He sent Oberyn to Braavos to arrange a marriage pact between Viserys Targaryen and his daughter Arianne. When Viserys returned to Westeros to claim his birthright, he would marry the heir to Dorne. The problem was that neither Viserys nor Daenerys were aware of this plot and they went about with Viserys’s plan to marry Dany to the Dothraki Khal Drogo. Arianne was also not informed of this and was simply kept unmarried by her father (he only kept the appearance of “trying to match” her with lousy candidates with her refusing them) in order to secure her marriage to Viserys eventually. Doran was grooming his son Quentyn Martell to be his heir because his plan for his daughter was grander, for her to be the queen of the Seven Kingdoms alongside Viserys. Unfortunately, due to the misinformation, and after Oberyn’s death, Arianne plotted secretly to crown Myrcella Baratheon as queen to overthrow her brother King Tommen I Baratheon and therefore start a war. Her plan failed and Doran eventually told her his original plan for her but it was too late as Viserys was dead and Doran had now sent Quentyn to Meereen to propose a marriage alliance to Daenerys. Quentyn failed and was killed in Meereen by one of Dany’s dragons.

  • but mance doesn't actually come from the south, he was born north of the wall but was left at castle black. he grew up there and when he was old enough, he became a brother of the night's watch. when he went beyond the wall as a ranger, he was attacked by a shadowcat, but was saved by a wildling woman. she healed him and repaired his cloak with swatches of red fabric. when he returned to the wall they told him he'd have to dye it black again, and at that moment he saw the freedom of the so-called "wildlings", that he could not have south of the wall. he saw a realness and honesty to their way of life and he wanted it. he, born of a wilding, but raised by the night watch to hate and fear them, sympathized with them, agreed with them. in a way, even though he was raised by the night's watch, he wasn't defecting, he was coming home. the son of a wildling woman couldn't be caged for long. i think the other wildlings see that. it adds to his mythology a bit, and I think the idea of him being truly "southern" and coming to unite the clans makes it seem like he's coming from an environment of ignorance about wildlings that simply isn't true. his mother was a wildling, his father was a member of the night's watch and he was raised by them. he's had a lot more experience with wildlings from a young age than most true southern's ever have in their lifetime.

If it weren't for dragons, cersei would have won. Though I didn't liked Cersei's character but she had the power and she knew how to manage it.

    Gourav KumarGourav Kumar4 mesi fa
    • Buying the golden company takes literally no charisma at all. It just takes gold. Did you forget that Tyrion had to constantly go around King’s Landing fixing her mistakes? Not to mention she acts almost entirely on emotion. Take away her army, take away her money and she becomes a sacred little girl.

  • Lord Peter was good, but if you are ultimately a victim of your own Shenanigans, you don't get MVP. Neither does Varys as he also ended up dead. Tyrion is the MVP. Tyrion is the savviest person on game of thrones as his whole life was basically a game of survival, surviving his father, his sister, his nephew, Daenerys etc., He was also the most politically astute next to Tywin. That being said, The raven was the S level political marionettist. The Raven is #1 and controlled GoT. Ask King Bran if you don't believe me. Apparently, the raven was so good, he was undetected by most viewers of the show. GoT in that aspect portrays real life. A host of human players, some better than others, but it's all orchestrated by the immaterial.

Leo Messi GOATLeo Messi GOAT5 mesi fa
  • Weird video and list. This is more about cunning or overall effectiveness than charisma. Tywin for example was charismatic in a ruthless, domineering strategic sense. Ned Stark was more charismatic really. Despite lacking in many areas, he was still able to achieve a lot based on his personality alone. Definitely more charismatic than Slynt, Cercei and Joffrey. This list just doesn't feel like a measure of charisma as an isolated quality.

    MagnumTriumphMagnumTriumph5 mesi fa
  • bronn and davos?

    ManOfZonkManOfZonk5 mesi fa
  • What does living longer have to do with charisma? What does being wise or cunning have to do with Charisma? Did you really give Ned Stark the same grade as Janos Slynt in Charisma? No offense, but you don't seem to understand what charisma means. Daenarys, Jon Snow, Tywin Lannister, Khal Drogo and Renly Baratheon should have been on your top tier. Mance Rayder wasn't a bad pick though.

    Jeremy DaleJeremy Dale5 mesi fa
  • I really liked this video, but I still think it would have been more accurate to title this video, "Who played the Game of Thrones better" instead of "Ranking The Most Charismatic" as plenty of these character had, what you would consider, good traits for charisma. For example, the Mountain has great charisma in that he can enter a room and EVERYONE would look at him upon entrance. THAT is an important part of charisma. Whereas Littlefinger is the exact opposite, no one would give him a second look if he walked into a room, yet in your video here he is S tier. That to me says this list isn't really about charisma, but about who plays the 'game' better.
